MLB Commish Fines Red Sox & Yankees After Sign-Stealing Drama

MLB commish Rob Manfred just dropped the hammer on the Red Sox AND Yankees ... fining both ball clubs an "undisclosed amount" for their use of banned electronic devices.
Manfred says his investigation didn't conclude that either team was straight-up stealing signs -- but determined their use of hi-tech communication was not acceptable under MLB rules and regulations.
The Red Sox were found guilty of using an Apple Watch -- "sending electronic communications from their video replay room to an athletic trainer in the dugout."
The statement explains there was insufficient evidence the Yanks were using the YES Network to steal signs, but -- "In the course of our investigation ... we learned that during an earlier championship season (prior to 2017) the Yankees had violated a rule governing the use of the dugout phone."
Manfred says Boston is being docked more than the Yanks ... with all of the cash being donated to Hurricane Irma relief efforts.
