Kwara State Polytechnic: Saraki condemns kwarapoly management over school fees increment

Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin

Saraki took to his Facebook account to condemn the management's intent to deliberate attempt to confuse Kwara state government.

Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has intervened in the tuition fee crisis in Kwara State Polytechnic.

The Polytechnic students in November took to the streets to protest the increment in their tuition fees.

The protesting students' placards suggest the tuition fee now ranges between N72,000 and N89,7000 as one of the placards reads "say no to N89,700, N72,000, N85,200''

One of the protesting students, Damola Ahmed, who spoke with newsmen complained about exploitative increment of school fees.

He said, "It is pitiable that the management of the school has degenerated into telling lies that there is no increment. They are claiming it is a policy, an alien policy that says the same amount you paid in your first year is what you will pay in the following year.

It is not done anywhere because there are certain logistical payments that you pay in your first year that must not return in your second year as such that policy cannot stand."

Saraki wades in

Coming to the students' rescue, Saraki took to his Facebook account to condemn what he described as the management's intent to deliberate attempt to confuse and mislead Kwara state government.
