Nigeria 4 Vs Cameroon 0: 4 things you missed on TV as Super Eagles trash Indomitable Lions

Nigeria Vs Cameroon

These are the four things you might have missed while watching the game on TV.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, September 1 beat Cameroon 4-0 in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The game played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo was beamed live to million otherS on TV.

While watching football on TV, fans can miss some certain moments that are important to the game.

We bring you four things you might have missed in this game.

1. Empty seats at the stadium

The attendance to the game was a bit worrying with more than half of the seats filled up even with about 15 minutes to kick-off.

2. Super Eagles coach Rohr not happy with turnout

Just before kick-off, Gernot Rohr looked around the stadium and shook his head in disappointment. Disappointment over the low turnout.

It improved as the game went on, but it was very unimpressive, to say the least.

Rohr complained about it at the press conference on Thursday, August 25, pleading to the organisers to allow people in to fill up the seats before the game start.

3. Internet and communication shut down at the stadium

Internet services and communications were shut down at the stadium for security reasons.

Journalists couldn’t work from the stadium as the internet had been shut down due to the presence of the Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel. It was immediately restored when he left the stadium after the game.

4. Cameroonians' suspicion of Nigerian juju

Who noticed an incident in the second half between Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and two Cameroonian players? Mid-way into the second half, Ezenwa is seen arguing with the Cameroonian players before the referee stepped in.

The Cameroonians accosted Ezenwa over a material he withdrew from inside his socks and threw at the back of his net.

The Cameroonian players were suspecting the material to be juju to prevent them from scoring.

Remember they rejected the Le Meridien Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort in Uyo which the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) provided for them out of fear of Nigerian witchcraft.
